Ian is a doctor of physical therapy, strength and conditioning coach, and founder of GOAT House Physiotherapy and Sports Performance, LLC. After growing up in a soccer family in Michigan, Ian moved to Madrid in 2008 for four years of undergrad, where he played for his university soccer team. He experienced and witnessed dozens of soccer-related injuries, which steered him towards a career in physical therapy, where he could help injured athletes safely and quickly return to their sport. In 2017, he graduated from the University of Miami’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, followed by a 2018 Sport Residency with the Seattle Sounders professional soccer academy, and ultimately Board Certification as a Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy.
During his two year stay in Seattle, he worked in the clinic, training room, and on the sidelines with professional, college, and youth athletes from the time of injury through their return to sport. He also served as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students, and guest lecturer in orthopedic and sport residencies. From 2020 to 2025, Ian lived in Colorado where he was the team physio for the Colorado Bucks professional indoor soccer team for two seasons, while working for a competitive youth gymnastics club, and part time at an outpatient orthopedic clinic. He officially founded GOAT House Physiotherapy in 2023 to offer mobile sports physical therapy to athletes in northern Colorado. In 2025, he transitioned to Asheville, his partner's hometown, where he re-established his clinic with the goal of bringing an elite sports rehab experience to athletes of Western North Carolina, in addition to offering a better alternative to traditional physical therapy.
Ian's treatment style draws on various movement system paradigms, pain neuroscience courses, strength and conditioning research, and orthopedic manual therapy training, to provide a personalized service that exceeds what can be offered at a traditional, insurance-based clinic. Outside of work, he continues to live his life on a soccer field whenever possible, and can be spotted frequently eating ice cream, running, or walking his goats.

Rhubarb was born around April fools day, 2020 in North Carolina. He drove across the country as a baby to live in Colorado for 5 years and has returned to his home state. He is very sweet, and loves cheek pets, but turns into a donkey on walks, and likes to headbutt his brother in the plumpy when he is trying to eat.

Leafblower was also born around April fools, 2020. He is a hot mess most of the time and enjoys screaming, but is much more cooperative on walks. His favorite activity is chewing and he is very good at it. He is also a huge fan of neck skritches.
